Shows coming up!

At the end of this month I am going to be joining a bunch of awesome people for some live exhibits of painting on canvas and people! I hope to make some good contacts and some extra cash that day! I will post pictures, and let you know how it went.

So sorry that I haven't been around much. I have been busy, but busy with things other than art. My life has seemed to pick up speed lately and I'm having a hard time holding on to the handlebars.

That's the link to the video featuring my artwork, by Uncle Lucius! I was commissioned by Van Folger, the producer of the video, to paint a scene of chemical plants looming over a house, and make it look like mama painted it. Well, I did it and through the talented efforts of Van and his crew, my painting and even my easel  helped tell the story the video was trying to convey! Yeah!! I feel so cool today!! :)

Working and more working

I have been pretty busy lately, trying to get a few sculptures finished, and some paintings started. I just got commissioned for a pretty big piece, although the client doesn't quite know what he wants the subject to be :) Love you, Gus!

I'll try and update you more on what's going on with me, and what I have coming up. But, no promises that it will be daily. I get side tracked and then it's time to go to bed! I'm old. That's my new excuse.

Zombie Heads!!

Working on a new series of Zombie heads that will be finished in plaster and painted for realism. This series was inspired by Bossons heads. I am also taking custom orders, so if you'd like to be Zombified, let me know!

I haven't updated my blog in a while, as I have been  very busy with the sculpting and cleaning of waxes. I will have lots of sculpture work to show and sell soon, but here is an example of what I have been working on.
I'm still taking commissions, so if there's something that you would like to have made, please let me know!

Loving Austin

The move to this area has been a fabulous choice. The people in this area are all wonderful (and if they're not, it's cause they ain't Texan!). My kid is doing great in school, and my work has been non-stop. I've been fortunate to find 2 master sculptors to take me under their wings and show me some tricks. I can't wait to see where my work quality is at in a year.

Meanwhile, I painted this chair at my place. It was an older navy blue leather chair. Nice and classy by it's own standard, but I saw a canvas waiting for me, and thought I would give it a go. I'm considering selling this piece, but unfortunately, due to the weight, the sale would have to be local pick up only.

Wax chasing for Bronzes

I've been a working artist for about 30 years. I thought I was pretty good at what I do. Well, I just landed a client that sculpts and has a foundry of his own. WOW, I have to step up my game now. I think I won't be online much any more. I've got some serious practice to do. I need to learn to hone my ability way beyond what it was before. I am so impressed with the work that I've been given to chase. I wish I had learned some of my craft from him and his wife years ago.

Well, for those of you that know me, you know that I am up for a challenge! I'm going to be the best wax chaser Texas has ever seen. :)

The New Studio

Working in the studio at the house has proven to have rewards and issues. Issue as in "I want to clean house all day." and I can't do that and get my work done. Or Issue as in " Mom is home, so I should be able to talk to her all day long for no real reason except that I love her and want her attention ALL the time." Mad was oblivious to the fact that I was working, well, was. She finally realized that I have to make a living somehow and bothering me and slowing me down is not to her benefit.

I'm thinking of the Mardi Gras days coming up. Should I go to Galveston, or New Orleans? Hmm, decisions decisions. It depends on where the most girls book to be body painted I guess.

Well, back to the grind. Sculptures need sculpting. :)

Hello Darling Studios is now a full time gig!

No more out sourcing to other studios! I am now in my own studio 24 hours a day!! woohooo!! who's the boss? LOL!! That would be me.
I'm pretty excited about it. I'm going to be sculpting amongst other things here in the house. It's going to be more work, but hey, it's more work :)

Mardi Gras is coming and I'm making plans!

Seriously thinking of putting together some body painting stuff all in the theme of Mardi Gras! THEN! We might walk around Bourbon Street and video tape the entire thing!! woohoo!! This ought to make for some good pictures!

Redesigning the Website really helped!!

So, today I woke up and redesigned some parts of the website. Lucky I did, because I landed a job because of it! If they hadn't seen my body painting, canvas work and photography I wouldn't have gotten the job so easily!! The internet is good for something other than drama and rumors!!

I was up fairly early this morning, and decided to add some more pictures to the HelloDarlingPhotography.com site in the Body Painting, Portraits, and Art For Sale sections. If you think that I should add or maybe even create something new, let me know!

Boondock Saints Party in LA

Ok, so a lot of trouble started for me after I did the party in LA. I was supposed to body paint several girls so that they could walk the crowd and entertain the masses there for the event. Only one showed, the fabulous Jolie Blon'. Well, since we were supposed to have several, one of the producers and I went outside and grabbed a random girl from the line of fans already building up outside. She turned out to be a mess! After being body painted and telling us elaborate stories of how her father might be Johnny Cash and how the man who raised her was Cash's manager, she enjoyed the rest of the evening by having sex with a roadie from one of the bands. She did this in front of everyone, and I have the pictures to prove it. You'll see them below here, just scroll down.

Any way, one of the people from Sony asked me to escort her out of the building, or have her removed. I told her she had to go, and so revenge plans were born against me. She wrote me a letter on facebook after she got back to wherever she is from, and asked to be my friend. When I told her that she was not the caliber of person I want to associate myself with, she then informed me that she was not a person to mess with. Immediately after this, a blog was posted about me, only all of it was fake. Then I found a rip off report that had been filed with completely fraudulent information. It said that she had sued me cause I was stealing her artwork, and posing to be her. Called me a racist in another posting, the list goes on. It's just ridiculous. So, in my own form of redemption, I am posting the pics of that night to prove that I am not making up the story and everything really happened.

And, Facebook can't remove the pictures just because someone says they need to be removed.

Reminder, the pics of her having relations with the roadie were taken in the VIP room where we were served our dinner. Her ass with his finger in it is directly across the table from the catering display. Oh yeah, kill an appetite.
